Aerial Hoop

Aerial Hoop

During this class (for students from 11 years old in year 7) the learning is focused on developing knowledge and understanding of choreographic craft, or put another way, the art of making dances. Students learn to research, brainstorm and develop ideas in response to given stimuli as the basis for choreography; they learn to artistically develop and select appropriate action, dynamic, spatial and relationship content and to manipulate, combine and structure this to create complete solo and/or group dances. This course represents a perfect springboard for GCSE Dance or could be studied alongside GCSE dance to complement and reinforce the learning in this subject.
